Privacy policy

Last updated: 23 May 2026

AddictionStopper was built around a simple promise: the most sensitive information about your recovery stays on your phone. This policy explains exactly what we do, and what we don't, with your data.

What we collect

Nothing. AddictionStopper does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on remote servers. There is no sign-up flow, no email, no phone number, no account, no analytics SDK, no advertising identifier, no telemetry.

What's stored on your device

When you use the app, the following records are saved locally on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework and remain in the iOS app sandbox:

Notifications

If you enable the optional daily reminder, AddictionStopper schedules a local notification on your device. The notification is generated and delivered locally by iOS. No push servers are involved and no data leaves your phone.

Crisis links

When you tap a crisis helpline number or website, your phone opens the corresponding app (Phone, Messages or Safari) and connects you directly to that service. AddictionStopper does not see or record those calls or messages.

Children

AddictionStopper is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

Your control

At any time you can delete every record from Settings → Reset all progress. Uninstalling the app removes all stored data with it. There is no remote copy of your information.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will publish the updated version on this page with a new "last updated" date. Material changes will also be surfaced in the app.
